📋 Terms of Use

Welcome to Silent Tasks. By downloading, installing, or using the Silent Tasks mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Silent Tasks ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

3. Free and Premium Features

Free Tier

• Up to 5 tasks
• Up to 3 custom categories
• Daily reminders
• Basic task management features

Premium Subscription

• Unlimited tasks
• Unlimited custom categories with color picker
• Priority support and future features

4. Auto-Renewable Subscription Terms

Payment and Billing

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription price: $1.59 USD per month (or equivalent in your local currency)
• Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase

Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a subscription period

Free Trial (if applicable)

• If we offer a free trial, you must cancel before the trial period ends to avoid being charged
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

5. Refund Policy

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policies. We do not directly process refunds. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. User Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Key Privacy Points:

• No user accounts required
• Task data stored locally on your device using SwiftData
• No tracking of task content or personal information
• Purchase receipts verified through Apple's StoreKit framework
• No data shared with third parties

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App or interfere with any other party's use of the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or any systems or networks connected to the App
• Remove, circumvent, disable, damage, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the App

8. Intellectual Property

The App and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to information, software, text, displays, images, audio, and design) are owned by Silent Tasks and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the App will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SILENT TASKS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

14. Apple Terms

If you access the App via the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:

• These Terms are between you and Silent Tasks, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance and support services with respect to the App
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party may have relating to the App
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms
